Welding is a common method for connecting stainless steel, aluminum alloy, copper, iron, etc. It is used more in sheet metal processing than in CNC machining (occasionally used in CNC machining, often used in sheet metal processing)

1. Arc welding
Arc welding is one of the most basic skills for welders. If the skills are not mastered well, the weld will have various defects.
2. Submerged arc welding
Submerged arc welding is a welding method that uses arc as a heat source. Due to the large penetration depth of submerged arc welding, the productivity and welding quality are good: because of the protection of slag, the molten metal does not come into contact with the air, and the degree of mechanized operation is high, it is suitable for welding long welds of medium and thick plate structures.

3 Argon arc welding, also known as TIG welding, is a high-quality welding method, usually used for welding stainless steel, aluminum alloy and other materials. Argon arc welding can be carried out in an environment without oxidation, thereby reducing the oxidation problem during welding, and is suitable for occasions with high requirements for welding quality. A large part of the parts processed by sheet metal will use argon arc welding. It is the main welding method in the sheet metal industry.

Here are some precautions for argon arc welding:
(1) Tungsten needles should be sharpened frequently. If they are blunt, the current will not be concentrated and the welding will be bad.
(2) If the distance between the tungsten needle and the weld is too close, they will stick together. If they are too far, the arc will break. Once the arc breaks, it will burn black. The tungsten needle will almost become bald and the radiation to itself will be strong. It is better to keep it close.
(3) Switch control is an art, especially for thin plate welding. You can only tap it one by one. This is not an automatic welding machine with automatic movement and automatic wire feeding. If it burns continuously, it will be worn out.

(4) You need to give the wire, which has a feel. High-grade welding wire is cut from 304 plate with a shearing machine. Don't buy it in bundles. Of course, you can find good ones at wholesale points.
(5) Try to work under ventilated conditions, equipped with leather gloves, clothing, and automatic darkening masks.

4. Gas welding
Oxygen fuel gas welding (OFW) is a process of using flames to heat the metal and welding wire at the joint of metal workpieces to melt them and achieve the purpose of welding. Commonly used combustible gases are mainly acetylene, liquefied petroleum gas and hydrogen, and commonly used combustion-supporting gas is oxygen.
5. Laser welding
Laser welding is an efficient and precise welding method that uses a high-energy-density laser beam as a heat source. Laser welding is one of the important aspects of the application of laser material processing technology. In the 1970s, it was mainly used for welding thin-walled materials and low-speed welding. The welding process is a heat conduction type, that is, the laser radiation heats the surface of the workpiece, and the surface heat diffuses to the inside through heat conduction. By controlling the width, energy, peak power and repetition frequency of the laser pulse, the workpiece is melted to form a specific molten pool.
Laser welding is used more in some CNC Machining precision parts, such as: medical equipment and products or parts in the medical industry, automotive parts or motorcycle parts, and aerospace equipment and parts. Because it can control the beam to weld in a very small area, laser welding is also the first choice for some relatively small precision parts that need to be welded, such as drone parts, some very small precision parts in medical equipment and the medical industry.
Laser welding is often used in injection molding when the mold is repaired. Injection molding consists of many precision parts and components. Sometimes, if individual parts are partially damaged during the production process, it is the most affordable and fastest to use laser welding for local repair.
In sheet metal processing, in addition to argon arc welding, laser welding is used when there are requirements for precise welding positions or welding spot sizes. It is also a common welding method for sheet metal parts processing.
In CNC milling services and CNC turning services, laser welding is the main method for welding parts because it has precise welding positions, little effect on the size of precision parts, and can also achieve CNC automatic welding.
6. Friction welding
Friction welding refers to a method of welding that uses the heat generated by the friction between the contact surfaces of the workpieces as a heat source to cause the workpieces to undergo plastic deformation under pressure.

Under the action of pressure, the relative movement between the welding contact end faces generates friction heat and plastic deformation heat on the friction surface and its vicinity under the action of constant or increasing pressure and torque, so that the temperature of the vicinity rises to a temperature range close to but generally lower than the melting point, the deformation resistance of the material is reduced, the plasticity is improved, and the oxide film on the interface is broken. Under the action of the top forging pressure, the material produces plastic deformation and flow, and the welding is achieved through molecular diffusion and recrystallization at the interface.
Friction welding usually consists of the following four steps: (1) mechanical energy is converted into thermal energy; (2) material plastic deformation; (3) forging pressure under thermoplasticity; (4) intermolecular diffusion recrystallization.
In CNC milling services and CNC turning services, two parts with very different shapes are often friction welded together. Direct CNC processing wastes materials and increases processing difficulty and time. If they are processed in two parts and then welded together, materials and CNC processing time can be saved.

7. Ultrasonic welding
Ultrasonic welding uses high-frequency vibration waves to transmit to the surfaces of two objects to be welded. Under pressure, the two surfaces of the objects rub against each other to form a fusion between the molecular layers. The main components of an ultrasonic welding system include ultrasonic generator/transducer/amplifier/welding head triple group/mold and frame.
The plastic products produced by our  injection molding are often welded by ultrasonic welding. After they are welded together, they can achieve functions such as product waterproofing.
